ClimateRight Customer Support

ClimateRight Basic Maintenance Information

Proper maintenance of your ClimateRight portable air conditioning and heating unit is important to maintain a valid warranty and ensure your unit operates properly and lasts for years to come. Please refer to the Climate Right Operating Manual section for all startup, operating and specification information. Climate Right offers a standard, one (1) -year warranty with all units sold.

The following regular maintenances are required during Year 1 in order to comply with the warranty:

Hoses
Make sure your hoses are in working order to maintain maximum airflow and efficiency. Extending or bending the hoses in different directions will impede airflow which will result in the compressor freezing and possible unit failure.
Filters
Filters should be cleaned at least once a month on an as-needed basis and replaced every 6 months.
Condenser
The condenser is located on the side of the unit with the open grid. If the cooling capacity of the unit becomes degraded, the condenser fins my be dirty. Debris on the fins will not allow the refrigerant to cool properly. Use a garden hose with a spray nozzle set on a gentle setting to rinse away dirt and debris.
Evaporator
If the evaporator becomes heavily soiled with debris, it may be necessary to clean the evaporator. See the Owner's Manual for instructions on how to clean the evaporator.
